2009-2012 DODGE RAM 1500 2500 3500 A/C HEAT DEFROST MODE ACTUATOR MOPAR

This is the right part for the Dodge Ram 1500’s notoriously poorly designed vent system. The truck puts so much pressure on these actuators that the plastic gears break and strip and then knock and click over and over for a minute or so every time the truck is turned on.This is the exact OEM part, and with the help of YouTube and already having performed the replacement when the truck was new, it took about 10 minutes start to finish.Note that this part and replacement should be under extended warranty for Dodge Rams within certain years. Check and push back on the dealership first. In my case our dealership is so bad that it wasn’t worth pursuing after they balked at doing the warranty work, and it’s not a difficult replacement, so it was worth it to DIY.
